HEAVY RAIN™

Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream believes it lost one million customers, and "between €5 and €10 million", to second-hand sales. "I can take just one example of Heavy Rain," Quantic Dream co-founder Guillaume de Fondaumiere told GamesIndustry.biz. "We basically sold to date approximately two million units. We know from the Trophy system that probably more than three million people bought this game and played it.

  1. That's just bullshit. How come they always assume that gamers would have bought those games at a retail store for the full price?

And some retail stores don't have old games in stock, so you wouldn't even get to buy them, when you're just browsing for a game.

I really hate how they make such assumptions to make others feeld bad.
