It's really awesome to play this after finishing the first one of the series, they expanded on pretty much every concept of the original. There is more variety in missions, characters have more depth and makes you actually care about someone besides the main character, combat is more fluid and there is more strategy than just the infamous "counter to win" (though this still works), but some of the more creative moves are kinda hidden (like the sand attack). Desmond is not as useless as he was in AC1, but still pretty far from being a interesting character. I though this game got repetitive near the end, but still much better than the first one.
i almost didnt play it but I got it for $10 (store error LOL) when I was trying to get the first one. the first one was tought o get through so I almost just said forget it, but glad i didn't. while there were some boring parts to it, it wasn't nearly as slow as the first one and i enjoyed it quite a bit. enough that i immediately went out and got AC:B afterwards to continue the story.
This game is great in its specialty, but lacks depth in other things. The AI isn't very good, and the free roaming doesn't offers too much compared with such other games as RDR, but its duration and gameplay can engage you for a time and as I said, it's really good at its own specialty: assassination.
