No, you didn't miss anything. This feature is actually not implemented, yet. It's high on my todo-list, though.

I'm still not sure, wether to implement this only on a per topic base (or blog-post, news, trophy - everywhere where you can add a comment), or also allow people to somewhat subscribe to a complete forum.

I guess I should stick with only implementing it for comments. That of course would include that you can ask to get notified for any new topic you create - just like it would have been useful in this case...

I hope to have this ready by the weekend. I also think that this is something that definetly will help the forum!

I actually almost finished the feature tonight :-) I guess I will be able to activate it tomorrow evening. Even if the settings for managing the notifications might only come a day after that...

Once it is online, I will simply add a notification for this topic to your account and then reply here.

This way you can be sure it works :)

I only need to finish sending out the emails tonight, as the rest already works on my testing server.

Thanks for pointing out this feature. I had a little bit more pressure to finally implement it...

So, if everything worked out, you should recieve a notification email in just a few minutes.

Yeah! I got a notification now, too :)

You can see all your notifications at your email settings. But I also will write a blog entry about this.

Ups... But I found a bug... You probably got that last notification twice...

Ouch... But now it's fixed :)

The problem was, that it didn't recognize, that you already checked to get notifications here and so added another one :-)

The more, the better...
