Just wondering if anyone else agrees that there could/should be some kind of limit on the number of people users can add as Sidekicks at any one time. Either a permanent limit, or only so many per hour/day?
Or at least some kind of e-mail acceptance or verification/approval that you actually know a person before they can add you, or the ability to block/remove people?
Looking at the user activity on the front page over the last few days, it seems there have been a few new users who have simply gone through the site and added every single person that they can find.

A few things here: the action stream will group actions like this, so that you will only read "User X added A, B, C, D... as sidekicks".
Yes, blocking people also will be possible. Right now having a fan does not really mean anything in terms of "may send me a message" or other bad things.
Limiting to add friends is always bad. I hated it on Flickr, when I just started and was not allowed to add more than X people a day, but I actually knew a lot on Flickr.
So, getting a new fan is currently no harm. The baddest thing right now is that those sidekick-adding-actions can flood the action stream, but those will be grouped soon, anyway. That sad, I don't think I will change anything on adding sidekicks right now.

Can a certain individual that adding everyone as a sidekick and adding names on psn please calm down !
I don't mind people asking to add me on psn but
A) Tell me which website you are from, as i have no idea who you are unless I happen to remember your psn id
B) Put what games you want to play (it is a waste of time people adding me if we don't have the same games!)
Please do this rather than a random add a friend with no description !

Yeah, I got one too... comparing trophies, just one single, solitary game in common... and that wasn't even a multi-player game.
I also don't accept random friend requests.
